Carnival at the Gran Hotel Peñíscola is just around the corner and we are preparing an unforgettable experience for all our guests. From February 28 to March 2, 2025 and from March 7 to 9, 2025, come and enjoy a themed weekend full of fun, activities, costumes and surprises. This year the theme is Ancient Civilizations.

Activities for Everyone

The Gran Hotel Peñíscola will be transformed into a hotel themed around Ancient Civilizations to offer you the best experience. During the two Carnival weekends, you will have access to a wide range of activities, including:

• Costume Workshops: Create your own costume or accessories with our entertainers.
• Costume Contest: Participate and compete for incredible prizes.
• Dance Nights: Enjoy live music and dancing in our themed rooms.
• Themed Dinners: Delight in a special Carnival buffet, where everyone is invited to come in costume.

Carnival of Ancient Civilizations Activities Program

Below, we leave you with some brushstrokes of what our Carnival Theme Weekends will be like this 2025:

• Hotel decorated and themed from arrival on Friday afternoon until departure on Sunday at noon.
• Special Animation and Entertainment Activities throughout the weekend (from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning) both in our Funny Club, as well as in the ROYAL Room and TROPICAL Room, with our respective Animation teams. Various workshops will be organized throughout the weekend: Homemade Costumes, Masks and/or Accessories, Makeup (optional, with cost) for the little ones and young ones,
• Friday Night. Recommended attire: Come all dressed up
• ROYAL Room: 1st NIGHT of COSTUME BALL with LIVE MUSIC: From 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
• TROPICAL Room (floor -1): The “CARNAVAL TRE(ME)NDING PARTY” From 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Includes: DJ Music, Children’s Costume Contest (10:30 p.m.), Various Participatory Games (individuals, families and/or groups) DJ Music, and from 12:30 a.m., the Election of the GHP 2025 CARNIVAL QUEEN and the GHP 2025 KING MOMO
• TROPICAL Room (floor -1): Starting at 10:30 p.m.: CHILDREN’S COSTUME COMPETITION + Disco Music & Dancing (End of children’s activity: approx. 00:00). Prizes for:
  • The most original costume (Individual prize) child: Free as a child on any reservation for 2025 (redeemable in low season).
  • The Most Handcrafted Costume (Individual Prize) child: Free as a child on any reservation for 2025 (redeemable in low season).

• Saturday Night. Recommended attire: Come all dressed up
• We start with our CARNIVAL THEMED DINNER in the form of an Open Buffet: from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. – We recommend that everyone come dressed up for dinner, so that we can all adapt to the theme of the Weekend.
• ROYAL Room: 2nd NIGHT of COSTUME BALL with LIVE MUSIC: From 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (The presence of the GHP Carnival Queen and King will be required during the night.)
• TROPICAL Room (floor -1): The “CARNIVAL (R)EVOLUTION PARTY” From 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Includes: Children’s Mini-Disco at 9:00 p.m., Adult Costume Contest (11:00 p.m.) and lots of DJ music to dance and enjoy.
• TROPICAL Room (floor -1): Starting at 11:00 p.m.: ADULT COSTUME COMPETITION. Prizes for:
  • The most original costume (individual prize) for adults: Weekend stay for 2 people for 2025 (redeemable in low season).
  • The Most Handcrafted Costume (Individual Prize) adult: Weekend Stay for 2 people for 2025 (redeemable in low season).
  • The Best Dressed Group of Friends: 10% discount on the Hotel’s Official RRP on all 2025 reservations. Applicable to reservations made by the owners of the rooms occupied by the group during the 2025 Carnival themed weekend.
